Para Rowing Foundation Announces International Recipients of Paralympic Qualifiers Grant

31 MAY 2021 - PRESS RELEASE: For immediate release

Para Rowing Foundation is thrilled to support para rowers from Kenya, Argentina and Nigeria as they compete to claim a spot in the Tokyo Paralympics. PRF’s Paralympic Qualifiers Travel/Training Grant assists para rowers with expenses leading up to the Paralympic Games, freeing them to concentrate on their training. The recipients of this year’s grant are Peter Odhiambo and Caleb Moseti Kenyansa of Kenya, Kingsley Ijomah of Nigeria, and Brenda Sardón of Argentina. Peter, Kingsley and Brenda are PR1 so race the 2K course with arms and shoulder only. Caleb is PR2 so races with trunk and arms only. Racing will take place in Gavirate, Italy from June 4-6. PRF is an international nonprofit established to broaden the global pathway for individuals with impairments by supporting them in para rowing as they fully explore their athletic potential. Opportunity and accessibility are global issues so PRF supports para rowers affiliated with any club or nation.
